Mindraeth

Mindraeth is a recently renovated superb Georgian townhouse overlooking Cardigan Bay in the popular seaside resort of New Quay, West Wales.

The translation from Welsh of Mindraeth is ‘going to the beach’ and this is certainly reflected in the position of the house which sits directly above one of the beaches in the village.

The House

The house is beautifully decorated in neutral colours with lots of wooden floors, comfy sofas, thick duvets and welsh woollen blankets. We have several gorgeous paintings by our favourite artist James Maceown.

On the ground floor the house has a large sitting room with TV and DVD plus a wood burning stove – fabulous for curling up in front of on a cold winter's day or night listening to the waves crashing beneath. The hand-built wooden kitchen has all the mod cons including a dishwasher and microwave and the dining table which looks out over the sea seats eight to ten people.

We have a glass conservatory with rattan seating adjoining the kitchen and also a utility room with washing machine and loo.

On the first floor there are three bedrooms; two doubles with sea views and a single which has a pull out bed beneath and also a cot. The family bathroom has a bath and a separate shower.

On the second floor we have a shower room with the best views in the house and two bedrooms; one double and the other a twin. So, in total we can sleep 10 people plus the cot.

The garden has a large decked area with built in bbq and a sloping lawn. At the top of the garden we have a wooden swinging seat where on a good day you can see as far as Snowdonia.

Little people and dogs welcome

With two children of our own, we have everything you could need….A Land Rover buggy, baby high chair, Tripp Trap high chair, kids crockery, a cot, a rocking baby crib, toys, kids DVDs and lots of bright plastic stuff for the beach!
